Mei Hong Guo
Meihong Guo is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturist, registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). She graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine with Honours from Humber College and has completed clinical training in acupuncture, Tui Na, Gua Sha, moxibustion, cupping, TCM assessment, pulse and tongue diagnosis, and patient-centered care. She has also continued her TCM studies in China, with additional training in traditional pulse diagnosis and Chinese herbology.
Meihong’s approach to healing is deeply influenced by her long-standing practice of yoga, Daoist Gong Fu, and meditation, as well as her interest in Eastern philosophy and the relationship between the body and mind. She has practiced these disciplines for approximately 15 years and believes that physical health and emotional well-being are closely connected.
Her personal journey also shaped her path toward Traditional Chinese Medicine. After the loss of her father, Meihong went through a very difficult period in her life. Through her own experience with TCM and its holistic approach to health and balance, she gradually found a path toward healing and recovery. This experience strengthened her belief in the body’s capacity to restore balance when given appropriate support.
Meihong believes that true healthcare begins with listening to the whole person, not only their symptoms, but also their lifestyle, emotional well-being, and individual needs. Her goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized TCM care that supports each patient’s physical and emotional health.
Outside of clinical practice, Meihong continues to practice yoga, Daoist Gong Fu, and meditation. She has a deep appreciation for traditional Chinese culture and contemplative practices, including tea and the Gu Qin, a traditional Chinese musical instrument. She has held tea ceremonies as a way of cultivating mindfulness, stillness, and inner peace. For Meihong, these practices are not simply hobbies, but meaningful ways to cultivate awareness and maintain harmony between the body, mind, and spirit. She also shares her experience through yoga instruction and meditation workshops, reflecting her long-standing commitment to holistic health and mindful living. For Meihong, practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine is more than a profession—it is an opportunity to share a healing tradition that has personally transformed her life and to help others find greater balance, vitality, and connection between body and mind.
